As part of the ThinkMarmalade group I am currently involved in organising The (Ser)Vice Squad: a drinks mixer for all those who are interested in service design taking place on Wednesday 27th March at 7pm.
I’m really excited about the increasing number of creative events that are taking place in Dundee and hope that this mixer will become a regular monthly fixture in the local calendar.
The mixer is intended as an informal gathering. We hope to bring together those in Dundee who are interested in working creatively to have a few drinks and get to know each other better through conversation and taking part in a couple of light-hearted activities.
You may be a designer who is looking for others to collaborate with, or someone from the public, private or third sector who is interested in learning more about service design practices and how they can benefit you and your organisation. Perhaps you’re a student and the idea of a free event where you can get a complimentary drink and the opportunity to talk with some people from industry is appealing to you. Regardless we hope to attract a diverse range of individuals and to promote the value of design through-out the local community.
The event will be held at the lovely Caffe Borsa, in Chambers East on Panmure Street.
Attendance is free and all attendees all we ask is that you register your attendance at our Eventbrite page.
I will also be posting a run-down of the event on this blog later next week once the event has taken place.
